Our role as a data controller

For the limited personal data we do collect (for example, if you email us via our Contact page), DaysTillCountdown acts as the Data Controller and is responsible for how that data is used.

A note on the custom countdown tool

Our custom countdown feature runs entirely in your browser. The date and label you choose are stored only in the URL you create and share — we do not save, process, or store this data on our servers. Deleting or not sharing the link removes access to that countdown entirely.

Legal basis for processing

  • Consent: Where you've given clear consent, for example agreeing to non-essential cookies via our consent banner.
  • Legitimate interests: Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as basic aggregate, cookieless analytics to understand site traffic, provided this doesn't override your data protection rights.
